The Situation

Headquartered in Downey, California, SST International is a leading supplier of vacuum soldering systems for the assembly of high reliability microelectronic packages for numerous industry manufacturers. They design, build and support both custom and standard furnaces which incorporate sophisticated vacuum, gas flow, and computer control systems.

The Position

This position offers a variety of responsibilities and opportunities for growth. Duties include assembly, test and support of custom and standard furnaces which incorporate sophisticated vacuum, gas flow and computer control systems. Additionally, you will participate in troubleshooting and resolving customer equipment issues as needed. Some domestic and international travel will be required.

Established in 1978, SST is a world-wide leader in flux-free, void-free soldering of high reliability components used in automotive, medical, telecommunications, semiconductor, aerospace, and defense industries.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of comparable work experience to includethe use of basic electronic test equipment such as multi-meter and oscilloscope. Additional experience required in electromechanical assembly of complex systems to include wiring, ability to interpret plumbing diagrams, mechanical assembly drawings, and model cards. A college degree is not required, however, the selected individual will possess basic electronics knowledge and skills equivalent to a two year degree. Finally, you will need excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills, along with a valid California Drivers License.
